1 Year Anniversary – Teaching Tips
With this tip, the UAF eLearning Instructional Design Team celebrates one year of weekly advice on teaching and educational technology. During that year, the UAF Center for Distance Education moved to a new home and became UAF eLearning, the Design Team grew by 30%, and the depth and breadth of the courses and projects the team works on increased by an even greater amount.
We hope you find these Teaching Tips useful. But the most important tip of all is this: remember we are here to help you.
Our mission is to provide consultation and services to every UAF educator interested in enhancing their teaching regardless of their position, program, or method of teaching. Whether you teach face-to-face, hybrid, flipped, or fully-online, the amazing and creative Instructional Designers are eager to assist you.
Past topics have included best practices, tools that can be used by faculty and students for creating and completing assessments, multimedia creation, social media and more. Future tips will include augmented reality, YouTube, and some tips featuring some of you and the amazing things you do.
UAF is fortunate to have the largest collection of Instructional Designers in the UA system (and more than many other larger institutions); they represent a broad range of teaching experience, knowledge of technology and artistic talents.
We are grateful for your supportive comments about saving, sharing, and using our tips! More importantly, we’d be grateful if you let us know what you’d like to see in future teaching tips…or any other way we can assist you in serving our students.
